Animal Control Sergeant – Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC)

Do you have strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a passion for protecting animals and supporting communities? Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is seeking an Animal Control Sergeant to lead a dedicated team of Animal Control Officers serving 24 cities and unincorporated King County.

What You’ll Do

As an Animal Control Sergeant, you will:

• Lead, coach, and supervise Animal Control Officers in the field
• Respond to complex, high-profile, and emergency animal-related incidents
• Conduct and oversee investigations, including animal cruelty cases and search warrants
• Support officer safety, accountability, and professional development
• Resolve citizen concerns and collaborate with law enforcement and partner agencies

✔ Understands public safety, risk management, and officer safety
✔ Can balance compassion with enforcement and sound decision-making

Experience with animals, investigations, supervision, and enforcement is highly valued. Experience using Chameleon is a plus.
