The Laconia, New Hampshire Police Department seeks applicants for the position of Animal Control Officer. 

The position serves the City of Laconia, as well as the towns of Gilford and Belmont.  Civilians or sworn officers may apply.

This full-time position includes 28 hours per week conducting animal control duties, with 12 hours per week devoted to parking enforcement in Laconia.  The position requires routine work in the enforcement of State statutes, City ordinances, and rules and regulations regarding the care and control of domestic animals.  Applicants shall possess a high school diploma or GED, valid New Hampshire driver’s license and be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Candidates must expect a thorough screening process to determine suitability for the position of Animal Control Officer.

SALARY RANGE: $21.56-$27.31/hour
